BSB British GP2 | R5 Snetterton Circuit

Incredible results for the Krämer team at the fast Snetterton Circuit

Round five at the fast Snetterton Circuit saw unsettled weather conditions, ranging from beautiful sunshine to monsoon like conditions.

Both riders made it through an extremely wet qualifying session with Jenner qualifying in 7th and Nixon in 16th overall on the grid, 1st and 2nd within the GP2 class.

Saturdays eight lap sprint showcased some incredible racing in very challenging track conditions. The race saw Jenner finish in an outstanding 2nd place overall, just pipping current Supersport Champion Ben Currie over the finish line. Nixon came in a very respectable 12th place overall, putting both riders in 1-2 in the GP2 class for race one. Both riders must be congratulated for keeping the Krämer GP2-890RR bikes upright in the tricky conditions and preforming well, where a number of other riders struggled.

Sundays feature race saw much improved weather conditions, brining a more positive atmosphere to the paddock. After a race long battle with Eugene McManus on the much faster next generation Supersport Ducati, Jenner came across the line in 11th place overall, with Nixon following in 16th - again both Krämer riders dominating the GP2 class.

Overall, Snetterton proved to be a great weekend for the Krämer team despite the weather, with two double podiums in GP2 and an outstanding overall 2nd place for Jenner.

Team owner Eddie Roberts comments; “The team did an outstanding job in such extreme conditions. Both riders showed that they can mix it with even the more powerful Supersport next Generation bikes.

I have to say a big congratulations to Owen for his overall 2nd place in race one, tricky conditions for all in which Owen showcased his and the bikes strengths to the full.”

“It was always going to be more challenging for us in perfect weather conditions at the very fast Snetterton Circuit when you are giving away so much power advantage to the Supersport bikes. The light weight and agility of the Krämer GP2-890RR is still super competitive in all conditions.”

“I would also like to welcome Window Worx and RP Exhausts on board as team sponsors, your support is very welcome and much appreciated.”

The Krämer team now heads off to round six at the exciting Brands Hatch circuit, knowing that both riders have the potential to get even more podiums.

As always, a huge thank you to this years sponsors and supporters: Build Maintain Refurb, Plastic Parts Direct, Krämer Motorcycles GmbH, Window Worx, Motul Oils, PT Hire, GB Racing Protection, Technicolour, RP Tuning, Sigma Clutches, DP Brakes and Hel Performance.
