BSB British GP2 | R4 Knockhill Circuit
Round Four - Knockhill
The Krämer Moto team with Joe Collier made a strong start at round four BSB, with Joe running alongside the top Supersport bikes from FP1.
Qualifying saw Joe on row three of the grid, making a good start with the top Supersport riders, and running just outside the top five overall throughout race one.
Joe made a last minute move at the hairpin in the first race that would have seen a first overall top six finish. Unfortunately, the move did not pay off and resulted in an incident and a red flag.
After a heavy knock and a visit to the medical centre Joe was passed fit for Sundays race. The team did a great job getting the bike back in prime condition, giving Joe the opportunity to come back stronger in race two.
Joe held the GP2 class lead for the entirety of the Sundays race, resulting in his sixth win out of eight in the 2023 season so far.
Owner Eddie Roberts comments; “The team did a great job once again, this bike just keeps on getting better. Now able to run with the best Supersport bikes, Joe once again showed his dominance in the GP2 class. Coming back from a really heavy fall in the sprint race to another class win shows the determination and talent from this young man. The Krämer GP2-R once again performed faultlessly. It’s fair to say that the progress made by the GP2-R bike is the talk of the paddock.”
