Two Wins at Oulton Park for Collier
After an extremely tough weekend Joe Collier took the Krämer GP2-R to two convincing victories at the picturesque Cheshire circuit.
An incident during the practice session saw Joe being brought down by another riders’ error.
The 100 mph crash saw Joe fly through the air and landing at the entrance to the pit lane. Fortunately, Joe did not receive any serious injuries but was badly battered and bruised.
Passed fit to ride by the excellent BSB medical team, Joe went on to qualify 4th overall in the Supersport class and the 1st GP2 bike, a true show of strength, ability and dedication.
Joe went on to win the GP2 class in both races by a convincing margin, leaving him confident to compete with the top Supersport bikes in the forthcoming rounds.
This weekend was a team effort and praise and credit has to be given to the entire team. With thanks to Ally and Steve, and a special mention to Scott Smart and Richard from Maxton Engineering, for getting a very poorly bike back on track in prime condition.
The team are looking froward to round three at Donington Park 19-21st May, and getting some more podium points.
